ARC Programme

Join the ARC Programme: Early Access to New Books

Willows & Wood Publishing operates a limited Advance Review Copy (ARC) programme to support the publication and visibility of forthcoming titles.

ARC access is offered at the Publisher’s discretion and is intended to support professional, timely reviews ahead of publication. Participation in the ARC programme does not guarantee access to any specific title or to future releases.

Eligibility

The ARC programme is currently open.

We consider applications from:

  • professional reviewers
  • book bloggers and content creators with an established reviewing platform
  • librarians
  • booksellers
  • media and press reviewers

Applications may be declined where reviewing activity cannot be verified or where platforms are not aligned with the relevant genre audience.

What ARC Readers Receive

Where selected and where available, ARC readers may receive:

  • a digital advance copy (EPUB or PDF), or
  • a limited paperback copy, provided at the Publisher’s discretion, including to support accessibility needs

Formats are subject to availability and may vary by title.

ARC copies are provided free of charge and are intended solely for the purpose of review.

Review Expectations

Where an ARC is supplied, participants are expected to:

  • submit an honest review to the Publisher before the book’s publication date, by the deadline specified for that title
  • disclose that the copy was provided free of charge where required by the review platform

Reviews are not required to be positive. We do not request, require, or incentivise favourable reviews.

Reviews must be received prior to publication. This allows us to identify any factual errors, sensitivities, or issues requiring correction before launch, and to request permission to quote reviews for promotional purposes.

Sharing a review in advance does not require the review to be altered and does not affect the reviewer’s right to publish an independent opinion.

Continuation of ARC Access

Where reviews are received by the agreed pre-publication deadline, ARC access may continue for future appropriate titles within the reviewer’s selected genre(s), subject to availability.

Failure to submit a review by the agreed deadline without prior communication may result in removal from the ARC programme.

Where Reviews May Be Published

Reviews may be published on appropriate platforms, including (where permitted):

  • retailer sites
  • Goodreads or StoryGraph
  • blogs
  • social media platforms
  • library or trade channels

Specific platforms may vary by title and reviewer.
